  New Zealand's next General election is Saturday, 17 September 2005.
  
  If you're 18 years of age and over then you must vote and decide who you would like to represent you in central government.
  
  New Zealand's MMP (Mixed Member Proportional) electoral system gives you two votes - one vote for the 'person' you wish to represent you at your electorate level in central government, and one vote for the 'party' you wish to represent you in central government.
